Time, Schedule, and the Calm

The biggest obstacle I hear that keeps people from getting to the gym regularly is, “I just don’t have the time”, or “When my schedule calms down, I’ll definitely be in.”

But rarely does our schedule ever free up. When that “busy time” finally ends, another curve ball comes out of no where and creates more obstacles! So, here are the top 3 ways to MAKE TIME FOR FITNESS!

1.) Have a Partner? – Then make it a date!
Do you have a best friend, spouse, or loved one that you spend time with on a regular basis? Then use the gym as a date. If your gym is worth what you pay, your time there should be worth sharing. Make a date out of the experience. “Dinner and workout” is the new “dinner and a movie”. Hold each other accountable, and have fun!

2.) Invest your money! Incentivize yourself.
For most people, when they put that dolla’ towards their fitness, they are more inclined to show up in the gym than they are to sit on their couch at home. They’re almost always more likely to find the value in their gym membership. Spending money can hurt, unless you’re getting the most out of it and you’ve found the right place to do that.

3.) Evaluate your screen time – Netflix, Facebook, and Super Mario!
Try this! Keep track of how much time (literally use a stop watch) you spend looking at a screen in one day. With the creation of the TV, iPhone, iPad, Netflix, HBO, Xbox, and Nintendo, we are so much more likely to be staring at a screen in front of us than working out. See how much time you spend doing that in one given day. I bet you could convert that time into something much more worthwhile for yourself. See if you can spend that time on your FITNESS & HEALTH instead!

That’s it for now… there are so many more ways to find the time to stay fit.

My goal is to help you get you to become happier, fitter and feeling good! And, I hope this helped 🙂
