Not everyone has the luxury of being able to spend hours at the gym and meal prepping. Let’s be honest, even if we did have the time, it doesn’t necessarily mean we would like to spend it in that way. Here are a few tips to keep you healthy day in and day out without too much time or effort.
Schedule workouts and jump into group classes
Putting your workouts in your planner makes it more likely to happen. Treat it the same as any other appointment. In addition, make the best use of your time by jumping into group classes (CROSSFIT!) that are preplanned and included warm-ups! Another option is to work one on one with a coach that will provide specific programing for you dependent on your needs and time constraints. This makes it easy to get a good workout in within the hour without having to put much thought into it.
Purchase healthy convenience foods for meal prep
Fresh Market, Trader Joe’s, and Pulix are perfect places to get precooked options that can used for your weekend meal prep. Other stores include Costco, Sam’s Club and Whole Foods. A simple Google search for “convenience foods at *store*” will bring up an abundance of lists!
Make small changes like taking the stairs, park in the farthest spot, take a walk with a friend during your lunch break. These small changes add up and they boost your mood and energy.
Also, eat slowly and mindfully, drink enough water and get enough sleep!
